International workshop on Strengthening Leadership and Governance of National Blood Services
A two-day international workshop was held on Strengthening Leadership and Governance of National Blood Services with the participation of 11 trainees from countries such as Qatar, India, Oman and Mongolia from 30 September-1 October, 2018.
The workshop was conducted as a part of IBTO’s activities as a WHO Collaborating Center on Research & Training on Blood Safety.
IBTO’s Deputy for Quality Control & Quality Assurance and Deputy of Modern Technologies organized the workshop in cooperation with Iranian Food & Drug Administration.
Two invited speakers from WHO EMRO and Paul Ehrlich institute presented the lectures on the role and importance of National Regulatory Authority (NRA) in national blood transfusion systems.
Visits to Quality Control Laboratory and Tehran Blood Transfusion Center were also made as practical parts of workshop.
